What is the maximum size you can quilt?

My Q-Zone Queen Grace frame can handle quilt tops up to 82 inches wide, with virtually no limit to length.

How big does my backing need to be?

Your backing must be 4 inches larger on all sides. This means adding 8 inches to both the width and length of your quilt top. For example, if your quilt top measures 60” x 70”, your backing should be at least 68” x 78”.

Can I use minky or cuddle fabric as backing?

Unfortunately, I do not offer quilting services with minky or cuddle fabrics. Cotton or flannel backing only, please.

Can I use a pieced backing?

Yes! Horizontal or diagonal seams are best for the quilting process. Vertical seams can create issues when loading the quilt, but we can discuss loading your quilt sideways to accommodate them. I can also piece the backing for you for an additional $8.

Is batting included in the quilting fee?

Yes, batting, thread, and a fresh needle are all included in the base price. I keep things simple by including everything needed to complete your project.

What kind of batting do you use?

I use Warm & White 100% cotton batting. It’s soft, durable, and made in the USA. The cotton fibers are treated with a hydrogen peroxide bath to remove impurities and natural color, making the batting hypoallergenic with minimal shrinkage after washing.

What kind of thread do you use?

I use Glide thread, available in a variety of colors to complement your quilt top.

Can you apply a quilt tag?

Absolutely! I’m happy to attach a quilt tag if you include one with your quilt. Please note that I do not create quilt tags.

Where will my quilt top be quilted?

Your quilt will be cared for in my home studio, maintained as a clean, smoke-free, and allergen-free space.

Can I drop off my quilt in person?

Yes! Just contact me to schedule a drop-off time.

How do I check the status of my order?

Once your order has shipped, you’ll receive an email with tracking information. Please allow up to 48 hours for the tracking to update.

Do you offer refunds, returns, or exchanges?

If your order arrives damaged, please email me right away with a photo of the item’s condition. I handle these situations on a case-by-case basis and will do my best to find a satisfactory solution.
